Kids Who Give is a national program that celebrates the best in today’s youth. And, guess what? There’s a lot to celebrate.
Created by Farm Rich, Kids Who Give honors kids and teens, ages 7-17, who make it their business to improve the lives of others. These young people see a need or a chance to help others and actually get out there and take up the challenge.
Need proof? Just take a look at the work our 2010 winners did in their own communities: Andi Kezh, who after undergoing multiple cleft lip and palate operations, now raises money for free surgeries for other children. Katie Stagliano fights hunger by starting and maintaining vegetable gardens and, to date, she’s donated over 3,500 pounds of harvest to people in need. Nathan Earl raised more than $75,000 for families of kids with cancer, while Olivia Stinson helps promote literacy and community service for the children of incarcerated parents. And Anna Stang makes blankets for chemotherapy patients who get cold during their treatments. (For their full stories, click here.)
The 2011 Kids Who Give contest runs March 1 through May 31, and we can’t wait to hear more stories of amazing youth who have taken up the challenge to look beyond themselves and make the world a better place. If you’re that kid or you know someone who deserves recognition, click here to send in your application.
You could win great prizes, like $2,500 for your cause, a trip to New York City for the Kids Who Give Awards Dinner, gift cards, and more! See FAQ or Contest Rules for prize details.
What is Kids Who Give?
Kids Who Give is a national program about kids who put their time, energy, and hearts into helping people and making the world a better place. Farm Rich, the frozen snacks and appetizers brand, wants to recognize these inspiring young people, as well as help educate others who may want to do more in their communities but don’t know how to get started.
Who can enter?
Anyone ages 7-17 who resides in the United States can enter. Of course, a parent’s permission must be given on the entry form.
Are there award categories?
Yes. For the 2011 Kids Who Give contest, we’ve added new categories by age group and a Fan Favorite so that more kids can win and get recognized. Within each category, we’ll select a Grand Prize Winner, a First Place Winner, and a Runner-Up. The age groups are:
What is the Fan Favorite?
The Fan Favorite lets you have a voice in the voting. We’ll select a group of semi-finalists and from June 1-15, the public can vote for their favorite. The semi-finalist with the most votes will be named the Fan Favorite and will receive a donation to their charity, a gift card for their personal use, and a Farm Rich prize pack.*

Why did Farm Rich create this program?
Farm Rich wants to stimulate more positive change throughout the country, and what better way to do that than by celebrating young people who are giving back? We hope that by hosting this contest, we can pay tribute to committed young people across America, and these leaders of tomorrow will help inspire others to become involved in a cause that’s important to them. Together, community by community—and kid by kid—we can all make the world a happier, more livable place.
If I am a non-profit organization and interested in sharing information with Kids Who Give, how can I get involved?
We always want to hear about non-profits whose outreach efforts empower and motivate young people to give back. Please contact the Kids Who Give Program Administrator at admin@kidswhogive.com so we can learn more about your work.

Do I have to send a video?
No, videos are not required, but they are highly encouraged. A video helps tell your story in a very visual way and gives our judges a feel for the great work you are doing. We’ll also be featuring them on our YouTube page. And, we’ll even be giving away cool prizes for videos that inspire us, make us laugh, cry, or just wow us.
What if I worked with a friend?
No problem! Enter as a team of up to two people.
What if I entered last year and didn’t win? Can I enter again?
Absolutely, and we encourage you to enter again! With the new 2011 categories and prizes, there are even more chances to be recognized.
What is the deadline?
May 31st at midnight, so start working on your application now!
